AT Wellness Center currently participates in network with Aetna and UnitedHealthcare, however only a few Aetna plans and UnitedHealthcare plans have coverage for acupuncture. AT Wellness also participates with Federal Employee Plan/Highmark. It’s necessary for AT Wellness Center to verify* with the insurance company regarding coverage for acupuncture. Insurance plans don’t guarantee coverage.
*A verification of insurance coverage is not a guarantee of coverage. If the insurance company backs out or determines there is not coverage, the patient is responsible for payment to AT Wellness Center.
All deductibles, co-pays/co-insurance have to be met by the patient.
Medicare does NOT cover acupuncture in Pennsylvania with a licensed acupuncturist who is not under the supervision of an MD. Alina is NOT a Medicare Provider.
Other insurances must have out-of-network benefits for acupuncture. All out-of-network deductibles and co-insurance must be met by patient. We do not submit to insurance when there is a deductible, however we are happy to provide a receipt so the patient may submit to their insurance (if there is a benefit for acupuncture).
All out-of-network payments must be endorsed to AT Wellness Center.
